1. THE PROGRAM
Our affiliate program pays a commission on sales you refer to Geotag. You promote the product with your own audience, we track the referral, and you are paid on each completed order.
Joining the program means accepting these rules. They exist for one reason: everything you publish about our product is attributed to us by the people who read it, and by the regulator.
2. ELIGIBILITY
You may apply if you are at least 18, legally able to enter into a contract, and able to receive payment through the methods our affiliate network supports.
We review every application and may accept or decline it at our discretion. We will normally decline sites that contain adult content, hate speech, violence, illegal downloads, counterfeit goods, or content directed at children.
3. TRACKING AND COMMISSION
Referrals are tracked through the affiliate network with a unique link and a cookie. The commission rate and the attribution window are those shown in your account in the network; they may change, and any change applies only to referrals generated after it takes effect.
Commission is earned on the net product value, excluding shipping, taxes, and any discount applied. It is confirmed after the return window has closed.
No commission is due on:
- an order that is cancelled, refunded, or charged back;
- your own purchases, or those of a household member;
- an order where the tracking link was not the last click before purchase;
- an order obtained in breach of section 5.
We may reverse a commission already credited if the underlying order is later refunded or found to be fraudulent.
4. PAYMENT
Payments are made through the affiliate network on its published schedule, once the minimum payout threshold is reached. Bank and transfer fees applied by the network or by your bank are yours.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner. You are responsible for your own taxes, and for supplying the tax documentation the network requires before it can pay you.
5. PROMOTIONAL RULES
Disclosure is mandatory. United States Federal Trade Commission guidance requires you to disclose your material connection to us clearly and conspicuously, close to the recommendation and before the affiliate link, in the same language as the content, and visible without clicking “more”. A disclosure buried in a bio, a footer, or a hashtag block does not comply.
You must not:
- state or imply a specification, a performance figure, a certification, or a health or safety benefit we have not published;
- describe the tracker as a security device, a personal safety device, or a means of tracking a person without their knowledge;
- invent or incentivise reviews, testimonials, ratings, or before-and-after claims;
- use countdown timers, fake stock counters, or fabricated scarcity;
- bid on our brand name or its misspellings in paid search, or use them in a display URL, unless we have agreed in writing;
- register a domain name, social handle, or app name containing our brand or a confusingly similar variation;
- send unsolicited email or SMS, or any message breaching the CAN-SPAM Act, the TCPA, or equivalent law;
- use adware, toolbars, cookie stuffing, forced clicks, pop-unders, or any method that sets a tracking cookie without a genuine click;
- distribute or publish an unauthorised discount code, or represent an expired promotion as current;
- copy our website, our product photography, or our advertising creative without permission.
6. USE OF OUR BRAND
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Geotag name and the creative assets we supply, solely to promote our products under these rules, for as long as you remain in the program.
Do not alter our logo, its colours, or its proportions, and do not present yourself as us, as our employee, or as an official representative. The licence ends immediately when your participation ends, and you must then remove our assets from your channels.
7. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
Either of us may leave the program at any time, for any reason, with written notice. We may suspend an account immediately, and withhold unpaid commission, where we reasonably believe section 5 has been breached or the traffic is fraudulent.
We will tell you what we found and give you a fair chance to answer before a final decision on withheld commission.
Commission properly earned before a termination that is not based on a breach remains payable on the normal schedule.
8. LIABILITY
You are responsible for the content you publish and for its compliance with the law of the countries where your audience is. You agree to indemnify us against any claim, penalty, or reasonable legal cost arising from your promotional activity or your breach of these rules.
Our liability under the program is limited to the commission actually due to you.
9. APPLYING AND GETTING IN TOUCH
Applications are reviewed by hand. Write to support@trygeotag.com with “Affiliate” in the subject, telling us where you publish, the size and country of your audience, and how you intend to promote the product. We reply within 24 business hours.
